FRED ASTAIRE (Frederick Austerlitz)

I have decided that the man I'm going to marry is going to have the personality Fred Astaire portrays in his movies. No, he will not have to have the talent that Freddy has, but that would be a definite plus! :) Fred Astaire is one of the most talented men that has ever lived. I wasn't into old movies until I spent a week with my grandma, where I watched my first Fred Ataire and Ginger Rogers movie. THANKS GRANDMA! I LOVE YOU! From then until now, I've become increasingly obsessed with old movies. Roberta, and Follow the Fleet, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, they are all so good, and a lot funner to watch than newer movies, where you have to be worried about what is going to come up on the screen or what you are going to hear. In the old movies i love there is no worry, and I can just enjoy the show, knowing full well that it's going to be awesome! I love how all, okay most, of the men are so gentlemanly, having chivalry and, well, this is so emmbarrissing and cheesy to say, but I love the way they look at the women with so much respect and love, whether it be while they are dancing or when the woman walks in the room with a beautiful, gorgeous, flowing dress on, and the man looks up with awe and a sparkle in his eyes, there is something so sincere and romantic about the way love is portrayed in some old movies. But I love the way Fred Astaire portrays it. Adding comedy and love to gether, and always being so funny! The first time I saw him, he was dancing the balle, and I thought "wow, he's sooo ugly." But now that I've watched so much of the personality he has in his movies, he's grown increasingly good looking to me, and is so funny and cool! I love him to death, and I imagine my husband having the same characteristics. But my marrriage is a long ways away, and I mean a LONG ways away, and anything could happen in that time period, so I won't get my hopes up too high. I'm just a hormonal teenager whos feelings change fast and frequently. :) Haha! Here are a few pictures I found online:

Update

I've updated my profile, check it out! :)

Huzzah! School has started! Home work and sleepless nights, tally hoe! Both of my sisters are moving, Peggy is moving closer, and Brooke is moving farther. They are pretty much switching places. But that's okay! Id rather have at least one close than to have both of them far away.
On to other news in a day in the life of Ekafe Eman, I am still working towards the goal of getting all the money for my new york trip by march, and it has kinda hit a few bumps. First of all, the price went up another hundred dollars because of gas prices. Second of all, summer's over, so all my big babysitting jobs are gone. But I still have the determination to raise it all and go to NEW YORK! I 'm really excited! But even if the trip doesn't work out, I'll be left with a TON of cash! Heck Yes! :)
Also, my mom is making shephards pie on Wednesday! YAY! It's my favorite! She's also making CHEESY POTATOES today!
In other good news, It's my brothers birthday tomorrow! Soooo.......
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODY!
Okay, see y'all later! maybe next time I'll have cooler stuff to talk about. :)

RAIN

Okay, just wanted to say it RAINED today in ST.GEORGE!!!!! Yeah, I know, I'm shocked too. I sat outside singing in the rain for 20 minutes! Probability I'll get sick...100%!!! BWAHAHAHA! anyway, I'm always super hyper when it rains, so I can't really sleep, so I decided to post a post on rain. A really, really short post..... for now! (evil laugh again) Anyway, I have a swim meet in the morning, so I should probably try to sleep. :) Later!

Manti Pageant

HEEELLLOO! I got back from our trip to Manti, Utah, a few days ago. It was super fun! If anyone who reads this ever has the chance to go to the Manti Pageant at the Manti temple, I highly recommend it. I went with my young women's and young men's group. We all had a blast! On the way down, the leader who was driving my car missed a turn and kept going straight for half an hour! When our phones finally got service, we got a message from the other groups that we were going the wrong way and that they had stopped and had been waiting for us for almost 45 minutes! All of us in the car laughed about it, then we called the other groups back and told them we were almost to grand junction which is in Colorado, and turned into this big joke, saying we weren't going to be back for hours and were going to stop and get something to eat. We pulled up 20 minutes after the rest and everyone thought it was funny, well, almost everyone, there were a few who didn't think it so funny. Oops. We got set up, the boys sleeping outside in tents, the girls sleeping inside downstairs. We played games and hung out until we had to leave. That night we went to the Manti Pageant, and it was awesome! It was over around midnight, and my friend, two other girls, and two guys wanted to walk back, it was only ten blocks, so of we went! Eventually we all ended up huddled in one blanket, running up the street singing Allstar. It was way funny. We all had to go to bed, but when you put seven girls in one room, that's not gonna happen. We were talking and laughing until 4 in the morning! Then we all had to wake up at 7 in the morning to go do a service project. We split up into two, some going to sweep out a building, and others going to pick weeds, I was a weed picker. In the picture to the left, I'm the tan butt. :) I and the two guys from the night before were also the entertainment, we sang a lot of random songs, like Take On Me by A-ha, one of our favorites. :) After we were finished, we hightailed it back to the house we were staying at to change into swimsuits to go to the lake! When we got there it was freezing cold, on of the guys jumped into the water without testing it first. I heard his scream and laughed when I looked to see him yelling and swimming back to the dock. I slowly got into the water, making myself used to it. I was on swim team two summers, going at seven o clock in the morning before they had warmed up the pool, jumping in and swimming lap after lap in freezing water, so this was a piece of cake. I got to where the water was at my shoulders to be sure I was used to it, by then almost everyone had noticed what I was doing and they were all yelling that I was crazy. I laughed, and then started to swim to the little lone dock thing about forty feet of shore. I was the first one there, and then all the guys started jumping in to swim to it. I was the only girl on it for a while tell I convinced another one of the girls to come. In the picture to the right, I'm the girl standing up. It was awesome! Then the leaders got canoes and my friend and I raced two of the guys to the other side of the lake and back. We so would have lost if the boys wouldn't have kept dropping there oars, but we won! Then some of the guys convinced this one kid to go, he put his life jacket on over his hoodie sweater, that was a bad idea, cause' they all tipped it over and went into the water! It was really funny! When we got back to the house, most of us took showers, and then we hung out until it was time for the work shops, where they taught about our theme, to be steadfast, or something like that, they were really good, some people were brought to tears. But where people cried the most was at the testimony meetings. Our ward is being split up by the changing of boundary lines, so a lot of people were very emotional because this was the last time we would all be together as the ward as we knew it to be. That night, all the girls were going to play a prank on the guys, I had volunteered my shoe laces for the cause, we were going to tie the zippers on their tents, but when the two perpetrators went out to do the deed, all the boys were outside in sleeping bags! So down to toilet went that! We fell asleep shortly after discussing shaving cream ideas. We left the next day at about ten or so, my friend and I rode in the back, the seat we sat in faced the opposite direction of everyone else, so we were facing all the cars behind us. We made signs that said "HI!", "We're Bored", and a smiley face and held them all up to each car that could see them. Only five people in that three hours of driving did not smile, laugh or wave back. We made near one hundred people laugh and smile on the way back home. I think that was my favorite part of the whole trip. :) Later!

yes!!!

Okay, I'm saving up money for this super awesome opportunity to go to New York, which is one of the three places in the world i want to see, and so far it is going great! I'm so excited! I've been babysitting everyday for the past two weeks except for three of the days. I made one hundred dollars in four days! The trip is being made possible by my awesome history teacher, Ms. Witt. Every year she tells about a trip she is being made possible, through Smithsonian Student Travel, a year in advanced so we can raise the money to go. This program teachers can use to take groups of kids to different places around the United States to learn about history. (The teacher gets to go free if he/she takes students.) When I found out I nearly started to cry. I have always wanted to travel and see different places, and New York was in my top three of places to see. I came home and calmly told my parents about it and told them they wouldn't have to pay a thing, that I would raise all the money myself. ($1,670, I had more then enough time to raise it.) I felt liek I was about to burst the whole time I was telling them about it, but I kept my cool. They both said I could go. That's when I begin to cry of joy and I thanked them over and over, and they told me I wouldn't have to pay for the whole thing, they would help me out any way they could. Then, as I was looking at the information Ms. Witt had given everyone, I saw that to even get signed up, you had to give some money down. My parents couldn't pay for it, and I definitely couldn't. I began to feel very upset. Then I realized all hope was not lost! My sister, Peggy, had been to New York and had always wanted to show me different places and things. I called her and told her my situation and told her that I would pay her back. She told me she'd talk it over with Jake, her husband, and they'd call me. I was so worried I was nearly in tears. She called me and told me they would and that I could work it off by cleaning their house, so thanks to Peggy for helping me out with my first step to my dreams of traveling. Thanks so much! I love you!
Anyway, I have know saved up $500, and at the rate that I'm raising money, I think I can by a lot of pretty souvenirs. :) Anyway, I'm looking forward to a great time in New York!
